FAQ
FAQ
Do I need more than one VR headset to play Fruit Golf?
Nope! Fruit Golf only needs one headset. Everyone else can join the action as saboteurs with our free mobile companion app. One VR headset is all it takes, and your friends can hop in from their phones or tablets.
How do mobile players join the game?
Mobile players simply download the free Fruit Golf companion app from the App Store or Google Play and follow the in-app instructions to join. As long as everyone has an internet connection, you’re good to go.
Can I play with friends who also have VR headsets?
Absolutely! You can mix and match: play with other VR golfers, add mobile saboteurs, or any combination that works for your group. The more, the messier.
Can I play solo?
Yes, you can tee off by yourself in VR. But we think it’s way more fun when friends join in with their own wild obstacles.
What devices are supported?
Fruit Golf is designed for Meta Quest headsets (Quest 2, Quest 3, etc.) and works with most modern iOS and Android phones and tablets for the companion app.
Colocation (Playing Together in the Same Room)
You can play Fruit Golf with friends in the same physical space, as long as everyone has an internet connection. Here are a few tips if you’re hosting a Fruit Golf party:
-
Wi-Fi traffic: If your internet is slow or unreliable with a lot of devices connected, you might experience some lag. If possible, ask everyone to pause their big downloads (or that epic 4K cat video binge).
-
Network security: Some public or guest Wi-Fi networks (coffee shops, hotels) may block the traffic Fruit Golf needs to connect players together. Try using a personal hotspot or a different Wi-Fi if you run into trouble.
-
Device switching: If someone leaves the room and switches to mobile data, their connection might drop. Just have them reconnect when they’re back.
